THE CAUSE
We believe the most valuable investment is in our community and its next generation.
To equip young people with the tools to think independently, act creatively, and solve problems with confidence is key to cultivating a society rooted in curiosity, tolerance, and motivated minds. Art Initiatives was founded to embody these ideals and to share this message. With creativity and purpose, we are committed to contributing to the cultural and social life of our island.
Over the coming years, we aim to diversify our collaborations across Ibiza, engaging with topics that matter to our community and advancing the development of its youth.
The inspiration behind this initiative was born from a powerful collaboration with Marie Steinmann and Krysteen Savane, founders of One Fine Day and Anno's One Fine Day. Their work has shown us what’s possible when creativity and commitment intersect with community needs. Together, they have built a remarkable programme that empowers children and young adults in one of East Africa’s largest informal settlements through the transformative power of art.
We are proud to continue supporting Anno’s One Fine Day and its remarkable Arts Centre—helping it remain a beacon of possibility, growth, and positive change. By raising funds and building awareness, we contribute to its ongoing success in guiding children toward becoming strong, thoughtful, and contributing members of society.

Art as Empowerment: Building Confidence and Community in Kibera
One Fine Day e.V. is a Berlin-based non-profit organisation founded in 2008 by Marie Steinmann and renowned filmmaker Tom Tykwer. It serves as the principal support structure for Anno’s One Fine Day, a Kenyan grassroots initiative founded by Krysteen Savane that empowers children and youth in Nairobi’s Kibera, the largest informal settlement in East Africa.
Since 2018, the two organisations have worked hand in hand to address the challenges faced by young people growing up in Kibera. Through a comprehensive creative programme, they offer weekly classes in visual arts, dance, ballet, drama, music, acrobatics, and creative writing. To date, more than 4,500 children and adolescents have been given the opportunity to explore their creativity, build self-esteem, and develop essential life skills.
In January 2024, thanks to generous donations and funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), via the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Anno’s One Fine Day inaugurated a purpose-built Arts Centre in Kibera. This new home provides a safe, inspiring space where young people can thrive.
Many alumni of the programme have gone on to pursue careers in the creative industries or have founded organisations of their own that are driving positive change in their communities. Others are continuing their education at universities, exploring diverse professional paths.
